Go easy on salt

Go  easy on salt  ,as too much salt is one of the causes of obesity. Make it a point to really cut down on salt. Try to bring down your salt intake to half of what it was last year.

Exercise Regularly

Our first fitness tip is that it's important to exercise regularly. While that's been sound advice for years, unfortunately very few people are following it. Only 45 percent of adults are getting the recommended minimum 30 minutes a day, at least four days a week. Considering that aerobic capability starts to diminish after missing only two weeks of workouts, it's clear that consistent exercise is the key to success.

Snacking

Snacking has to go but to get in the habit of not eating junk food, you need to empty the cupboards and bin it all. If the urge to snack is quite high you need to replace it with something such as cups of  green tea, vegetables, or fruit.
  • Vegetables are an excellent choice since they’re filling, high in nutrients and fiber while being very low in actual calories.

Drink Green Tea

Studies confirm that drinking tea, especially the less processed green tea boosts metabolism when you’re resting and specifically targets the release of stored fat. Brew the tea yourself to avoid the sugar added to prepackaged tea.

 Stop when your body has had enough


 There is no sense in pushing it. When you have worked out for a considerable time, your body will start giving you signals. Heed those signals. This is particularly true in the initial stages. Take one step at a time. Stop when you are out of breath or when a certain part of your body tells you that it has had enough.

Restrictive diet

Never go on a restrictive diet or on a program diet (They only  serve to mess with your metabolism and eventually make you gain more weight, in the long run.) To maintain a good weight and toned body requires a lifestyle change, not a fad diet or program.

Try yoga

 Yoga is one of the best ways of losing weight. Of course I can’t go into a full lecture about yoga over here but I can tell you that I have never seen people with better-toned bodies than those who practice yoga. One of the benefits of yoga is that you learn to control virtually every muscle and joint of your body so that the issue of weight gain will cease to exist.


Smoking is bad for weight loss

 smoking as such may not contribute to weight loss but smoking leads to other conditions like erratic eating habits and excessive dependence on things like coffee.
