How to Sleep Better: Tips for Getting a Good Night's Sleep

1. Exercise

Vigorous exercise 3 to 4 hours prior to bedtime will enhance the quality of your sleep. Exercising too close to bedtime, however, may make it more difficult to initiate sleep.

2. Drink Plenty of Water

Your Mother was right when she told you to drink lots of water. It’s the oldest and best advice for all round health and its especially good for your skin.

3.Use music

Play lullabies or nature sounds at nap times and if your wakes up in the night, so you can all get your rest.

4.Keep it dark

Fit blackout lining to curtains to block out bright early morning light (this is also useful for daytime naps), and get  used to sleeping when it's dark.
 

5. Take Control of Your Thoughts

Try to decrease your brain activity before bed by writing down your thoughts in a journal and closing the book on the day. If thinking keeps you up at night, deal with those thoughts (pay the bill that you are worried about forgetting, make a to-do list, etc.), and come back to bed when you're ready to sleep.
