Indian Egg Roll Recipe


Egg roll is a famous snack from the streets of many India cities .Its fried egg, onions, chillies wrapped in flat bread. Its an easy to make dish and an excellent party snack as well when cut into bite size pieces.

Ingredients

  • Eggs - 3
  • wrapper-5
  • Onion (chopped) - 1 large
  • Green chilli (chopped) - 2-3
  • Oil  - 5 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Spices:
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • Cumin Powder - 1 tsp.
  • Garam Masala Powder  - 1 tsp
  • For garnish:
  • Cabbage (thinly sliced) - 1 cup
  • Tomato (thinly sliced) - 1
  • Green coriander leaves (finely chopped) - 1 tsp
Making


  1. For each egg roll wrapper, heat 1/2 tbsp oil in frying pan over med-high heat.
  2. Place an egg roll wrapper in the pan and let it brown lightly.
  3. Flip and brown lightly on the other side
  4. Remove from pan and set aside.
  5. Lightly beat the eggs and mix in the ,onion,chill and spices.
  6. For each egg roll wrapper, pour about 1/3 cup of egg mixture into the frying pan.
  7. When the egg mixture starts to cook, place a wrapper on top of it.
  8. When the egg is nearly cooked, flip the wrapper/egg over and cook for a few seconds.
  9. Repeat a couple of times.
  10. Remove the wrapper/egg and roll it up with the wrapper on the outside of the roll.
