 Indian Egg Pulusu Recipe

Indian Egg recipes are a real stand by when you do not have much time and patience to cook. Eggs can be used to prepare a variety of dishes which i already posted like egg bhurji, hot and spicy egg curry, egg masala, egg biryani, egg fried rice, and egg fried noodles and even an Egg Pulusu.

Ingredients

  • 5 Boiled eggs
  • 1 Tbsp Red Chilli powder
  • 5 Green chillies whole with a small slit
  • 3 Tsp. tamarind paste in 2 cups water
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Small tomato finely chopped
  • 5 Garlic whole
  • One pinch Turmeric
  • 2 Tbsp. oil

Making 

1)Boil the eggs and remove the shell.
2)Soak the tamarind in hot water for about ten minutes and extract pulp into a cup.

3)Add oil to a pan and heat. Splutter the mustard seeds. Add onion pieces and fry till deep brown. Add the tomato pieces and simmer till tomato pieces become smooth. Add the coconut pieces and fry further.
4)Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, split green chillies and salt. Mix well and fry till oil shows up.
5)Add the boiled eggs and stir fry for a couple of minutes. Add tamarind pulp and jaggery.
6)Add one cup of water, mix well and simmer on medium heat till all the ingredients are done well.
7)Finely chop the coriander leaves and sprinkle on the soup
8)Serve hot.
